WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR SESSION

Tailored to your needs

With information provided in your Physical Musculoskeletal Assessment, we tailor a session individually applicable to you. For instance, you may need work done on your rotator cuff muscles and lats to carry loads better, or deep work on your neck muscles to relieve headaches.

Fit in with your schedule

We also fit in with your ward’s and fellow worker’s shifts as well. As each ward or department operates differently, and work closely to make sure massage keeps your shifts run smoothly.

Grounding and Centring

As job stresses can get to some more than others. A function of muscles is to store experiences good and bad, so we work the muscles to help release stresses, and in the process, help participants become centred and grounded.

Help co-workers work better

Massage helps the body rid of physical and emotional toxins. These weigh you down, dragging the day through and leaving you wondering where the day went. A flush out of stress means you are clearer, and work more effectively and efficiently. Allowing you to enjoy your job that little bit more and leading to a better work/life balance.

HELP US UNDERSTAND YOU AND YOUR NEEDS

Choose a time on a schedule sheet on your main area that best fits your shift. Work out with your colleagues who can take what times.

Fill in a confidential Physical Musculoskeletal Assessment, and tick the opt-in box to help note changes to performing daily tasks.

SET UP

We will set up in a booked private room next to each ward for that day, with a massage table or chair, balms, lighting and music, and create a relaxing atmosphere. We text you to let you know you are next.

MASSAGE

We will find out what your needs are for that day, what sessions you’ve had in the past, and apply remedial or relaxation massage to appropriate areas (e.g. shoulders, glutes, neck dealing with headaches, lower back pain etc.). May combine massage with a brief meditation focused on releasing stress. The minimum goal for you, is rejuvination.

DURING THE WEEK

We shall give you recommendations for physical activity for the next week, and text you  daily to ask about changes in doing activities, and remind you about the recommendations.

THREE MORE (for Pilot)

MANY MORE (for General)

For the next upcoming session until it ends, we build on gains made from last session, and adjust each massage session to accommodate changes. This builds on your growing clarity of mind, and adds to the improvements to your body.

At the end of the Program, we collate all participant’s answers to daily questions and show changes as a whole, and share with all participants in an email. No data attributable to individuals is released.

We ask you for a summary of how the Program worked for you, and thoughts about future participation.
